This puzzle is based on a level 1 notchable 6 piece burr. However, unlike a standard notchable 6 piece burr, a small extra action is required to disassemble it.

Juno is always on the lookout for hardware that might be used in puzzles. Among the items he found, there was one that seemed suitable for use in a small puzzle, which inspired him to design this puzzle and try incorporating that hardware into it.

Since this is a very easy puzzle, it might not satisfy those who are looking for a more complex burr puzzle with many moves. However, it's recommended for those who are interested in puzzles with a slightly unusual or distinctive character.

Six different types of wood are used in this puzzle, and the color tones vary significantly from piece to piece. Please note that the color of the puzzle you receive may differ from that shown in the product photos.

As an alternative to a solution, a Burr Tools file for the 6 piece burr on which this puzzle is based will be provided upon request. Once you see which piece goes where in the assembled state, you should find it easy to put together. You can also swap the positions of two pieces during assembly, but it should be immediately clear which configuration is the intended one.
